About Katie
Q: What is your professional background? Where do you work, and what is your role there?
A: I am attending Kansas State University to study communications and am a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, where I have served on the executive council and program council.
Q: How long have you been off-roading? What drew you to the sport?
A: have been off-roading since I joined MWK in 2019, which my dad and I enjoy doing together. I started simple and, over the years, have grown to more complex levels.
Q: What are your passions and interests related to the club’s activities? What motivated you to join the board?
A: I am very creative, so I wanted to take on social media as a board member. I love socializing, but I also love a challenge. I love being a young female member and holding my own with people with more experience than I do as I continue to learn from others.
Q: What is your vision for the club’s future? How do you hope to contribute to its growth and success during your tenure on the board?
A: My vision is to help others grow their love for off-roading with a support system like MWK and use my creativity to highlight club involvement and events through social media.
Q: Are you involved in any other community organizations or initiatives that align with the club’s values?
A: I am involved in Greek life at Kansas State, predominantly Breast Cancer Education & Awareness, as that is my sorority’s philanthropy. Even though this differs significantly from off-roading, it still creates a community to help give back!
Q: If you were a fruit, which one would you be?
A: If I were a fruit, I would be a pineapple because I’m sweet but can be sassy, and pineapples can sometimes be sour
