Hello crawler nation, my name is Mykel Finwick, and I was born in St. Joseph, Missouri in the good old 80s! As a youngster, I was a Marine corp baby, raised by a single mother.  I graduated high school with a nursing degree, then worked as a trauma medic in the service.  After my time in the service, I retired from nursing and the veterans commission as a mental health/trauma nurse. After 10 years. At this time, I’m  managing school to  get my associate’s degree in restaurant and hotel management, human relations and technology, and became a pretty smart peanut butter chip cookie! Have been in many different positions and food service from a market training director, general manager area director. Purchased my first home at 22 years old, where I was an alderman / treasurer for the city council of Leeton, Missouri for 12 years. Was also the secretary/ treasurer of the park cemetery board for the city as well where we managed to seek out funding for a few new Park camping sites fire pit for making s’mores on the Rock Island spur trails for bikers with facilities. The one awesome thing that I am most proud of in my time was when working in the Springfield Missouri area I was honored to help seek out funds and 100% of material/labor and land to build an almost 100% debt-free animal shelter for the Polk County Humane Society. I have owned two Jeep Grand Cherokees and one Renegade before my dream Jeep, Sour Patch – a 2016 Wrangler Rubicon unlimited. For the last 25 years I lived a life in a Time Warp.  This last year I have found the time machine and relocated from the sticks and moved to the city and closer to my work. I live in Grandview and manage the Arby’s in Belton, Missouri. I’ve always loved off-roading and Jeeps. So stoked to be your Community Outreach Director in 2025 and look forward to touching base to meet you all in the coming year!
