Missy Stout
How it began:
My husband, Brian Stout, and I joined Midwest Krawlers in 2019 after buying a ‘19 Cherokee Trailhawk, the Albino Turtle. This was my first 4×4 vehicle and my first introduction into the off-road community. Brian has been off-roading since he was a teenager and has owned several Jeeps. Needless to say, I absolutely fell in love being out on the trails. What REALLY hooked me was the off-road community we met through MWK. We now have a ’10 JKU that we can’t wait to get out on trails with!
Passions and Interests:
Brian and I kind of found our off-road niche by accident. Our first trip to SMORR with the club, we volunteered to lead a blue/green group. We figured if the Trailhawk could make it most any other 4×4 could. Since that weekend we have had the privilege of leading many ‘newbies’ out on the trails.
What has given me the passion to lead the newer off-roaders is seeing them conquer the obstacles in front of them when they thought they couldn’t. I love being able to be their biggest cheerleader while spotting them over/down/up their obstacles and trails. The yells of excitement and the sense of accomplishment I see in them makes me so happy!
I decided to join the board to give back to the club that has given us so much the last 6 years. The people we have met through MWK have been so amazing and many have become like family. I’m excited for this year and the opportunity to be a part of the leadership of my MWK family!
